While walking on the V&E Greenline recently I got curious about Lick Creek, wondering where it came from. I googled it, naturally, and found that it meanders all through Memphis. From the map, it looks like it's part of a series of creeks and bayous that start a block or so south of Central just west of South Fenwick and wander around town until they find their way to the Mississippi River by way of the Wolf River, but I can't find a map online where the smaller waterways are labeled.

I can't tell where Lick Creek specifically begins and ends.

Here's a view towards the north:and to the south:from the Lick Creek Bridge on the V&E Greenline. I made the sign a year ago to hang by the garage door, but it was in the way of our new gate. I moved it to my potting bench temporarily and in doing so, I really thought about the message. This week, I am keeping it simple. I worked a little in the garden, moved the table so Steve no longer gets scratched by rose thorns while we eat, and planted flowers in the wicker basket. I kept my goals simple for today too by sewing a bag for an Instagram friend, cutting out a few Christmas items to sew, walking to the park with Lulu, cleaning the kitchen and then messing it up again by baking brownies.

We have absolutely no plans for tomorrow other than keeping it simple.

We'll definitely walk to the park. Banging on table, Cuba, China, Russia & Pakistan lash out after call to exclude Chavez, other abusers from UN rights council Concerted U. N. S. N. Did you see the challenge Ruth has posted in her blog? Has anyone given it a try yet? Ruth has also posted a White Paisley Heart & Fleurs Edging, a yellow Celtic butterfly and a green and purple butterfly. The Tatting Pattern Calendar has featured a couple of hanging cluny designs recently. Lynda is working away on her Christmons, but the design isn't co-operating. She has decided that it's time to put it aside and try something else for a while. Jon's entry for today is a bookmark with split rings and long woven picots. Laura has tatted Dianna Steven's snake bookmark and has plans to frame it with the letter "S" for her grandson's nursery. Dawn has designed her very first bookmark. I'm a true believer that nothing ever happens before it's due time. I have faith it will happen when it needs to. I cannot rush a process. I have done everything in my power to ensure this meeting occurs while she is here. And now I realize it's bigger than me.

I must have faith in a higher source to ensure this "Meeting" will happen.
